Episode Summary
Let’s talk about movement and engaging your whole body in language learning using TPR, or Total Physical Response.
We know that when we learn anything, and especially language, frequent repetition of words and phrases in different contexts, helps the words settle into our long term memory better.
But so does TPR. And that is exactly what I’m talking about in this episode with my guest, Meeghan Carter.
Meeghan is an ESL teacher in Delaware and brings a vast experience from being a classroom teacher to even owning her own business. She has worked with students primarily in grades pre-K to 8th.
She has a passion to engage with her students, create meaningful relationships, and embrace the mindfulness and understanding of learning another language. She also likes to utilize different modalities that help her students learn deeper.
Meeghan and I talk about topics that are so relevant to so many ESL teachers.
